Caraday Way in Action: Recognizing Breast Cancer Survivors
Our vision, in everything we do, is to convey a shared value of compassion, a commitment to excellence, open communications, motivation to be the best, and a sense of personal integrity. We are honored to care for our residents and share a passion to make their days enriching and fulfilling. It’s The Caraday Way!
Caraday of Corpus Christi recently recognized breast cancer survivors, as a way to celebrate the many champions currently residing at the community. This event held special significance, as breast cancer disproportionately affects older adults.
According to the National Cancer Institute, women 70 and older have a 1 in 24 chance of developing breast cancer at some point in their lives. This underscores the importance of early detection and regular screenings, especially for older women.
The celebration at Caraday included a heartwarming cheerleading performance by students from West Oso Elementary School.
As reported by Corpus Christi’s own KRIS News, the event aimed to uplift the spirits of breast cancer survivors and acknowledge their courage in facing this challenging disease. By recognizing these champions, Caraday of Corpus Christi fostered a community of support and hope for all those affected by breast cancer.
